Brandon Edge was formed in 2006 as a combination of the Brandon Optimist Club and the Brandon Jaycees. The main difference with the newly formed group is 100% of the funds raised by membership dues and the fundraisers stay in the Brandon area, rather than being shared with a national organization for their oversight and use.
